Name: Lynda Ward (100% Tomboy)

DOB: 13th November 1978

Diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome type 3: 11th December 2009

Other health issues I have: Benign Essential Tremor (Similar to Parkinson’s)

I get ‘Low Care Rate DLA’ because of tremor.

Occupations: Reiki Grand Master, IT Tutor/Consultant, Internet Marketer

This blog is a place for all those who suffer from this crippling syndrome to meet, share, support & moan etc.

Aspects I suffer from are:

Multiple shoulder dislocations

Bladder problems

Sleeping problems

Restless legs

Dodgy knees since birth

Dodgy hip – Especially my left hip at the moment

Daily, chronic pain

Daily, chronic fatigue

Moveable kneecaps

Eyesight problems – Some websites mention this as another possible aspect of syndrome

Joints creak and crack when moving – Sometimes total agony

Thumb to wrist (right hand only)

Crippling muscle spasms in calf muscles and toes

Crack my fingers

Partially/fully dislocate thumb

Lock my fingers into ‘Swan Neck’ position

Soft skin

Youthful appearance – Dr (at diagnosis) thought I was in my early 20′s

Poor/slow wound healing

Scar and bruise easily

Extended range of movement in fingers, hands and arms

Reliant upon crutch(s) during flare ups

Stretchy skin below the eyes

Etc…..

You could also try NSAID’s (Anti Inflametries etc such as Asprin, Ibuprofen etc). You could also try Biofreeze products to help take the edge off.  Search via: Ebay etc.
